My goal is for you to develop a conceptual understanding so that science makes sense.  You will continue to refine your understading as we apply your understanding to new observations. You will begin to see science all around you and explain your observations of the world around you using scientific models.  Your scores are based upon the understanding you demonstrate on assessments.  If you use the feedback on these assessments, you will be able refine your understanding and the skill with which you can use models to explain your observations.  Click on the scoring guide to see the descriptions of the levels of your understanding and application.

Each test has mutliple scores that reflect the understanding you demonstrate on that concept and its application.  You get multiple opportunities to practice and refine your understanding.  If you keepworking at it, you will see that your scores improve on the same concepts.  Your final grade will reflect the understanding you eventually develop.  In other words you will be able to dropy your earlierlower scores, if you imrpove your scores on future test on the same concept.  SO, BE PERSISTENT. KEEP TRYING AND TOGETHER WE WILL GET YOU TO UNDERSTAND MORE AND MORE OVER TIME.
